Displaying Images and Additional Information
You can use images and other additional information, for example, PDF documents, as decision help in interactive configuration.
Example
You can use the following images for the sale of a PC package:
One generic visualization of the complete package, for example, standard monitor, standard keyboard, standard printer, standard housing
Images of the individual characteristic values, for example black/white laser printer, color ink jet printer, and so on
Prerequisites
You have linked images and other additional information with configurable products.
To do so, the use of SAP ERP document management is mandatory. In SAP CRM, there is no function available for this. For more information, see Making Images and Other Information Available.
Features
The following file types are supported: gif, jpg, bmp, png, pdf, doc, o2c, mp3
You can assign images and other additional information to the product, individual characteristics, and individual characteristic values. Only characteristic values in character format are supported.
Images are displayed with a unit size of 70x50 pixels. When you click the image, it is displayed in its original size.
Images are displayed as follows:
Product image: in the header area of the configuration screen
Images for characteristics: directly on the configuration screen, next to the characteristics
Images for characteristic values: either directly on the configuration screen next to the characteristic values, if the characteristic values are displayed in an expanded form and enough space is available, or on a separate page (accessible via link
