Using SAP CRM Master Data
In SAP CRM, you can create master data for configurable products, and then use this data in the configuration engine in SAP CRM. This happens in the WebClient UI on the product overview page, in assignment block Product Models
.

Caution
Product models for configurable products that were created in SAP CRM cannot be replicated to SAP ERP. For this reason, we recommend that you create configurable products in SAP ERP if the sales documents are also distributed to SAP ERP.
Integration
Master data that you create in product modeling is automatically written to your SAP CRM database in a knowledge base, and is available there for product configuration in all SAP CRM configuration scenarios.
Note
The knowledge base is not visible in SAP CRM on the WebClient UI; there it corresponds to the product model. The product model is the UI object of product modeling, whereas the knowledge base is the technical object in which the data of product modeling is collected.
