Features

You can set rule-based distribution to occur automatically in batch jobs or semiautomatically via the CRM WebClient UI as distribution proposals. The table below summarizes the main methods by which leads can be distributed and the bases for distribution:

You can also configure an automatic partner determination procedure so that the sales prospect, contact person, and the employee responsible for the lead are identified automatically.

For more information about automatic partner determination, see Customizing for CRM, by choosing Start of the navigation path Business Functions Next navigation step Partner Processing Next navigation step Define Partner Determination Procedure End of the navigation path.

You can distribute leads based on rules. The rules can be based on the content of the lead and/or the attributes of the sales prospect to determine the best matching business partner (employee responsible, sales representative, channel partner).

Batch jobs

A report CRM_DD_BATCH is provided for processing all documents that have to be distributed. The report is started in the background with a variant of selection parameters. The variant describes the document set under consideration and the rule set to be used for distribution.

The administrator has to ensure that the rule set is compatible with the selected documents.

The distribution protocol is written to an application log. The job protocol is permanently available via SM38 and contains a relationship to the protocol in the application log (SLG1).
