Target Group Maintenance
This function enables the maintenance of target groups from a new or existing segmentation model. It also provides for the assignment of business partners created from the external list to this target group.
This function is also applicable for high-volume data. Instead of business partners, marketing prospects are created from external lists. These marketing prospects are then assigned to target groups. Only new target groups can be created for marketing prospects. Also, target groups cannot be maintained for marketing prospects.
Note
In the case of B2B data, organizations and related persons are added to the target group, while in the case of B2C or high-volume data, marketing prospects are added to the target group.
To execute this step, select the Maintain Target Group
option, specify the target group and segmentation model details and set the start data.
Errors occurring during the execution of the Maintain Target Group
step are logged. If errors are logged, the traffic light next to Maintain Target Group
is red and a hyperlink is available. Error details can be viewed by clicking
this hyperlink.
Note
After target groups are created, you cannot change the details of the target group and the related segmentation model.
If you repeat this step, only those business partners or marketing prospects that could not be added to the target group in the previous execution are added.
