In Print Preview and Form Management, you can print out an overview of your marketing plan, campaign, account plan or promotion as customer confirmation directly from Marketing or Account Planning. Furthermore, you can examine your forms in a print preview, and thereafter print them or send them electronically.

Activities

You can create and process marketing forms/account planning forms. This can be done for the current project only or for the project and all of its subprojects. You then use these forms to generate PDF (Portable Document Format) documents, which contain details of the project. You can print the PDF documents or send them via e-mail to the parties involved in your project.

Maintain Forms

You create and maintain forms in the SMARTFORMS transaction.

Assign Forms to Marketing or Account Planning

When you create a new form, you can assign it directly to Marketing or Account Planning. You can also assign the form later in Customizing in Customer Relationship Management by choosing Start of the navigation path Marketing Next navigation step Marketing Planning and Campaign Management/Account Planning Next navigation step Print Preview Next navigation step Assign Forms to Marketing/Account Planner End of the navigation path. You can, for example, create forms for internal or external use, or just as drafts.

Alternatively, you can use a standard form. The status of the form (active/inactive) is only valid during its runtime. This means that you can assign inactive forms, but you can only print active forms.

Customer Verification – Printout

Using Print , you can generate a PDF document which is displayed as a print preview. You can define the layout of the form using templates in Smart Forms.

If you call up the print function, you can choose between a default template or another form template which is active in Customizing. The default template contains information from the following areas:

  • Basic data such as objective, tactic, planning profile group, dates

  • Dates

  • Product assignments

  • Content Management: texts and documents

  • Partner Functions

  • Set type data

  • Segment Description

  • Distribution data

  • Coupons

  • Key figure planning

  • Data from the additional customer-specific fields

When you select Print Preview , you will be asked whether you wish to carry out the Print Preview for the Current Node Only or the Current Node with Children.

A pop-up appears. Enter LOCL in the Output Device field and then select Print Preview.

You can then view your form directly in Marketing or Account Planning.

Functions such as Print, Save, Send, Select are displayed in a toolbar above the form.

You can then send this print preview to someone by mail by entering the recipient name and recipient type (specific express mail). To verify that they have received the mail, go to Start of the navigation path SAP Business Workplace Next navigation step Inbox Documents End of the navigation path from the Easy Access menu.
