Coupon Code Retrieval
Coupon codes are used with coupon campaigns. The coupon code uniquely identifies the coupon so that manufacturers, clearing houses, and retailers can validate the coupon.
With external clearing, the coupon codes are communicated to you for each product category by your clearing house and must be created in a separate maintenance transaction before use in campaigns. You usually receive a range of codes for a certain product category from the clearing house and can maintain these codes by range. Each code can only be used for a coupon once.
With internal clearing, coupon codes are generated manually.
