Process documentationStart Target Group Optimization

In campaign automation, the workflow templates that belong to the campaign automation task set can be assigned to individual campaign elements.

The start target group optimization workflow should only be used in conjunction with a subsequent optimization element. The target group assigned to the campaign element is divided into sub-target groups according to the parameters and constraints defined in the optimization element. These are assigned to the subsequent campaign elements.

Prerequisites

Classify the workflow template as a General Task. Start of the navigation path Customer Relationship Management Next navigation step Marketing Next navigation step Marketing Planning and Campaign Management Next navigation step Campaign Automation Next navigation step Implement Workflow Customizing End of the navigation path

After starting the campaign, the workflows are scheduled and executed automatically. For this reason, no type linkages need to be made for this workflow template.

Process

The start target group optimization workflow should only be used in conjunction with a subsequent optimization element. The target group assigned to the campaign element is divided into sub-target groups according to the parameters and constraints defined in the optimization element. These are assigned to the subsequent campaign elements.

The following campaign element data is checked as part of campaign process modeling: A segment must be assigned and the indicator 'Start for Every Respondent' must be deactivated. The system also checks whether the next step in the campaign process flow is an optimization node.
