Availability Information in Quotations (Using SAP APO)
You can obtain availability information when you create a quotation in SAP CRM.
The availability information comes from SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO).
You have set up a requirements profile for quotations. You do this in Customizing under .
You have set the the indicator for writing temporary objects (column TOIn
) to Write Internal Temporary Objects Only - No External
, for the requirements profile.
You have entered this requirements profile as an ATP profile in Customizing under .
You have assigned this ATP profile to item categories used in the quotation. Choose .
The customizing depends on whether the sales transaction is a quotation because of its transaction type or its system status.

When you create a quotation in CRM Enterprise, the availability information is automatically obtained directly from SAP APO. Availability information is obtained for the percentage of the quotation quantity that is calculated from the sales probability.
SAP APO transfers the confirmed quantities and dates back to CRM Enterprise.
The quotation does not reserve any products or transfer requirements in SAP APO. The product is reserved only when you create a sales order with reference to the quotation.
