When you perform the availability check using SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO), you can display the results of the check in the sales order.

You can choose when you want the results to be displayed:

  • When you perform an availability check-relevant change in the sales order

  • When you select the Availability Check pushbutton

  • Never

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites apply:

  • You use SAP SCM 5.0 SP08.

  • You have a user ID in the SAP APO system.

  • You have set up the SAP APO system as a logical system in the SAP CRM Implementation Guide by choosing Start of the navigation path Customer Relationship Management Next navigation step CRM Middleware and Related Components Next navigation step Communication Setup Next navigation step Set Up Logical Systems Next navigation step Define Logical System End of the navigation path.

  • You have set up a Remote Function Call connection to the SAP APO system.

  • You have assigned the SAP APO logical system to a Remote Function Call connection in the view CRMC_ABOXLSYSRFC.

  • You have created the entry APOATP in transaction CRMS_IC_CROSS_SYS and defined the logical system of the SAP APO system and the URL of the ITS in this entry.

    Note Note

    • The URL of the ITS is assembled according to the following schema:

      http(s)://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui

    • You can take the entries for <server> and <port> from the SAP APO system. Choose transaction SICF and call the service structure there. In the structure, choose Start of the navigation path default_host Next navigation step sap Next navigation step bc Next navigation step gui Next navigation step sap Next navigation step its Next navigation step webgui End of the navigation path. In the menu, choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Port Information End of the navigation path. You can read the entry for <server> in the HOSTNAME column, and the entry for <port> in the SERVICE column.

  • You have exchanged the single sign-on certificate from SAP APO and SAP CRM between the two systems, to avoid confirmation prompts. You can do this in transaction SSO2.

Features

The Result Overview or Delivery Proposal page is displayed. You can define on this page whether, for example, you want one full delivery or several partial deliveries to take place. The results are transferred to the sales order in SAP CRM. Note Note

If your computer, operating system, or browser crashes while you are displaying the dialog box with the results of the availability check, it can lead to data inconsistencies in the product quantity reservations in SAP APO. In this case, we recommend that you execute report /SAPAPO/PRODAVREQ_CLEANUP in SAP APO.
