Availability Check for Partially Delivered Items
You can perform an availability check (ATP check) for a partially delivered sales order item, provided that there is still an open quantity.
You can check the availability of partially delivered items until they have the status Completed
. The system carries out the availability check for the open quantity for the date entered in the Requested Quantity/Date
schedule line. The system calculates the open quantity for the partially delivered item as follows:
Open Quantity = (Requested Quantity - Total Delivered Quantity)
The availability check for partially delivered items is possible with SAP APO and SAP ECC. The following specifics apply, depending on which system you use:
Processing of the availability check results from SAP APO depends on whether the first availability check for the partially delivered item was carried out with or without the rules-based ATP check:
First check without rules-based availability check
The results of the availability check are displayed in additional schedule lines for the confirmed quantity/date.
First check with rules-based availability check
The availability check can be carried out for the main item or the subitem.
Execution of availability check for the main item
In the partially delivered subitem, the requested quantity and the confirmed quantity are reduced to the delivered quantity. The delivery status of the subitem is set to Completed
. The results of the rules-based availability check are displayed in new subitems.
Execution of availability check for the subitem
In the partially delivered subitem, the confirmed quantity is reduced to the delivered quantity. The availability check is carried out for the subitem with its own remaining open quantity.
The results of the availability check are displayed in additional schedule lines for the confirmed quantity/date .
