Configuring Proxy Settings
Applicable to: remote role assignment, remote delta link, WSRP application sharing
If you are using a network proxy server to control traffic leaving your company domain, you need to configure the proxy settings in the portal.
· You have access to the Service Configuration Editor.
· You have permission in the portal to edit the com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice application.

If you are using a reverse proxy, you need to configure it according to your federated portal network landscape. For more information, see How to Set Up the Landscape for a Federated Portal Network, available on SAP Developer Network at sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/howtoguides ® SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ® User Productivity Enablement ® Running an Enterprise Portal.

1. In the producer portal, navigate to System Administration ® System Configuration ® Service Configuration.
2. In the Portal Catalog, navigate to the com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice application.
3. Open the proxy service.
4. Specify the proxy server property values, as necessary. For detailed instructions, see System Properties for Proxy Server.

If are using a reverse proxy, you need to define its settings in the proxy service.
5. Save and close the service.
6. Open the com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice application, and restart its services.
7. Close the editor.
