Creating Proxy-to-Portlet iViews
Applicable to: WSRP application sharing
This topic describes how you create proxy-to-portlet iViews in the portal based on remote portlets or remote iViews exposed by another non-SAP or NetWeaver producer portal, respectively.
● You have added the producer portal, tested the connection, and registered your portal.
● You have administrator read permission to the producer object from which you want to retrieve content. For more information, see Assigning Administrator Permissions to Producer Objects.
● If you are consuming content from a NetWeaver producer:
○ You have at least administrator read permission to the remote content located on the producer portal. For more information, see Exposing WSRP iViews on the Producer for NetWeaver Consumers.
○ The content administrator on the producer portal has set the Expose as WSRP Application property in each iView to Yes.
● If you are consuming content from a non-SAP producer portal, the portal administrator from the producer has configured the portlets as required so that they are exposed to external consumers.
● You have access to the standard Content Admin role on the consumer portal.

Result
You have created a proxy-to-portlet iView for each remote portlet/iView you selected in the iView Wizard.

The name of each proxy-to-portlet iView is the same as its source portlet or iView. The ID of each proxy-to-portlet iView is taken from the wsrp.portletID field returned by the producer.
To test a proxy-to-portlet iView, right-click it in the Portal Catalog and choose Preview.
You now manage these copied objects as you would with any other local objects; for more information, see Working with Proxy-to-Portlet iViews.
For information on how proxy-to-portlet iViews on the consumer relate to their source iViews/portlets on the producer, see 'WSRP Application Sharing' Mode.
