Automatic Transfer of Default Configuration
You can set up the product configuration so that the default configuration for a configurable product is transferred directly to the sales transaction. The default configuration is a product configuration in which characteristic values for the respective characteristic are already set as default values. When the system determines the default configuration, the dependency including the reference characteristics is processed. The default configuration therefore corresponds to the configuration that results without user input.

Features
To transfer the default configuration, you do not need to call the user interface for product configuration, that is, the default configuration is determined and transferred in the background, when you create the sales transaction.
In the case of multilevel product configuration, the corresponding subitems are also immediately created in the sales transaction.
If you want to configure the corresponding configurable product differently, you can switch to the product configuration user interface, and reconfigure the product.
