Vorgehensweisen Editing UME Properties  Dokument im Navigationsbaum lokalisieren

Use

Use the config tool to edit user management engine (UME) properties offline. This prevents user management data from becoming inconsistent in a running system because of changes made to UME properties.

Empfehlung

Only make changes in the section Global server configuration for the service com.sap.security.core.ume.service. The UME ignores changes at other locations, such as changes made in the visual administrator.

For more information, see Config Tool.

You can use user management configuration to edit a subset of the properties.

For more information, see Configuring User Management.

Achtung

Do not edit undocumented properties without consulting SAP Support.

Prerequisites

This procedure requires you to restart the SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS) Java, so you should plan for the required downtime while the AS Java restarts.

Procedure

...

       1.      Start the config tool.

To start the config tool, execute <AS_Java_installation>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat.

       2.      In the tree, navigate to Global server configuration ® services ® com.sap.security.core.ume.service.

The list of UME properties appears.

To change the value of a property:

                                                  i.       Select a property from the list.

ii.       In Value at the bottom of the screen, enter a new value.

                                               iii.       Choose Set.

To restore a property to its default value:

...

                                                  i.       Select a property from the list.

                                                ii.       Choose Restore to default.

To restore all properties to their default values, choose Restore all to default.

Achtung

Do not use this option, if you use an AS ABAP or LDAP directory as the data source. The default values of the UME properties assume the database of the AS Java as the data source. This requires you to reconfigure the data source before you can restart the AS Java.

       3.      Choose Diese Grafik wird im zugehörigen Text erklärt with the quick info text Apply changes.

       4.      Restart the AS Java.
