Scheduler Tasks for Time-Dependent Publishing 

Use

Two scheduler tasks are used for time-dependent publishing. They check at defined intervals whether documents are valid for the corresponding publication time period.

Prerequisites

The time-dependent publishing service is activated.

Activities

You must specify once only on which content management system, or on which two content management systems in a load-balancing environment, the two scheduler tasks for time-dependent publishing are to be run.

You can have the system run both tasks on a single content management system or assign the Check Valid From scheduler task to a content management system for improved load balancing, however, you assign the Check Valid Until scheduler task to a different content management system in the load balancing environment.

To assign a Content Management system to the scheduler tasks, choose Content Management ® Global Services ® Scheduler Tasks  ® Check Valid From or Check Valid Until.

If required, you can specify other times at which the tasks are to be carried out (see Scheduler Times) You should not change any other parameters.
