Procedure documentation Creating Taxonomies for an Index  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You create one or more taxonomies for an index. You can then classify indexed document in these taxonomies.

Recommendation

In most cases, we recommend that you create a single taxonomy for each index. However, it is useful to have several taxonomies for one index if you want to have several views of the same documents.

Procedure

You are in the Index Administration iView.

...

       1.      Click on the ID of an index to reach its index properties.

       2.      Choose Taxonomies from the function bar.

You reach the list of taxonomies that are assigned to the index in question.

       3.      Choose New Taxonomy.

The New Taxonomy dialog box is displayed.

Define the following settings.

Settings for All Taxonomies

Settings for Example-Based Taxonomies

Settings for Query-Based Taxonomies

       4.      Choose OK.

The settings that you have made now take effect.

Result

The taxonomy is displayed in the list in the upper area. You can now create categories or enhance a copied taxonomy (see Taxonomy Explorer).
