Configuration Help for Software Agent Framework
Default customizing is provided for all Customizing activities, except Business Add-Ins.
You configure the Software Agent Framework (SAF) using wizards because:
Many settings are technically oriented and can be difficult to determine without detailed explanations.
Dependencies exist between settings; hence, you must carry out configuration steps in a certain sequence to avoid errors. For example, you must define the search engine before linking it to a query service or compilation service.
Some settings require a deep understanding of theoretical backgrounds (such as learning algorithms). The wizards provide guidance in decision making.
Additional consistency checks are desirable for some settings to avoid errors.
Therefore, only the necessary configuration entries are accessible via the wizards. The wizards set default values for advanced entries automatically. The advanced entries are typically related to control the code flows for an extension purpose, for example, to redirect an ABAP class for the knowledge service. These advanced entries should not be changed unless code modification is required for customer projects.
