You can use the Survey Suite to manage surveys (for example, questionnaires).

Each survey is assigned to a specific application, and can be accessed by expanding the application folder.

Integration

You can also navigate to the style sheets and parameters from the Survey Suite.

Features

You can use the Survey Suite to:

  • Edit and display surveys

  • Import and export surveys (XML files)

  • Translate surveys

    Note that you can only translate a survey once you are logged on in the language to which you want to translate. For example, if you want to translate a survey into Spanish, you must be logged on in language Spanish.

  • Display different survey versions and translations

  • Test surveys

  • Generate survey URLs

  • Create screen format

  • Maintain survey attributes (technical settings and administrative data)

  • Create survey PDF files

  • Import and export style sheets (CSS files) and parameters (XML files)

In Survey Designer, the survey hierarchy is depicted on the left-hand side of the screen, and editing options for layout, formatting, and so on, appear on the right-hand side.

The hierarchy node you select to edit determines the following:

  • Features that you can add to your survey

    These are displayed in the block immediately above Hierarchy Node.

  • Editing options available

    These are displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.

The table below lists the editing options for each hierarchy node you select, as well as nodes that can be added to the survey under each hierarchy node:

This determines the format options available

Display Only

Specify whether user input can be made or not

Required Field Entry

Select whether an answer is mandatory

Text Position

Specify whether answer text is left- or right-justified

Visible Field Length

Specify the character length of the answer field that appears in the survey

Max. Field Length

Specify the maximum character length of the answer field that appears in the survey. This must be equal to or larger than the visible field length

Lines

Specify the number of lines available for a text answer

Columns

Specify the number of columns available for a text answer
