Use

Unless otherwise stated, this information is relevant for the following applications:

      Selling via eBay® (SVE)

      Auctioning via Web shop (AVW)

You configure the scheduler in Extended Configuration Management (XCM) so that you can schedule certain tasks to be executed at predefined times.

Example

(SVE only) You schedule the SVE application to retrieve the current listing data from eBay® every two hours.

(AVW only) You schedule the AVW application to determine auction winners every hour.

Procedure

       1.      Log on to the XCM tool at:

(SVE only) http://<servername:port>/sve/admin/xcm/init.do

(AVW only) http://<servername:port>/avw/admin/xcm/init.do

       2.      Choose Start ® General Settings ® Customer ® Scheduler ® schedulerconfig, and enter values for the following parameters. For most parameters, default values are provided, which you do not need to change.

       enabled

Enables or disables the scheduler

       jndiDataSource

Provides a connection to the database when the application is deployed on the SAP Web Application Server 7.0

       jndijdo

Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) look-up name for Java Data Objects (JDO) connection factory

Result

You can now log on to the SVE application or AVW application as an administrator and schedule tasks. See also:
