Performing the Initial Download for BP and BP Relationships

       1.      Select the business partners for replication (optional)

Select the object BUPA_MAIN and choose Filter. Choose the SAP Media backend as the source site and make the desired filter settings.

If you do not perform this step, the system replicates all the business partners.

       2.      Set up external number assignment for all number ranges

Note down the current number level for the number ranges with internal number assignment. Then convert the number ranges to external number assignment. You may have to reset the number level to the initial value before doing this

       3.      Perform initial business partner download

Start the initial download for the object BUPA_MAIN.

       4.      Monitor the status of replication

       5.      Reset number assignment

Once the initial download is completed, specify internal number assignment again for the number ranges you noted down in step 2 and, if necessary, reset the number level to the value it had beforehand.

       6.      Select relationships for replication

Follow the instructions in step 1 for the object BUPA_REL.

       7.      Perform initial download of relationships

Start the initial download for the object BUPA_REL

       8.      Monitor the status of replication

Under no circumstances should you perform an initial download for the objects CUSTOMER_MAIN and CUSTOMER_REL.

Result

Business partners and business partner relationships from SAP Media now exist in SAP CRM.
