ProcedureConfiguring System Integration

Procedure

You use CRM Middleware to exchange data between SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) and SAP ERP systems. To ensure that this data is exchanged correctly, you have to make the following settings in SAP CRM:

  1. Define logical system

You must use a system name from SAP ERP, table T000 (transaction SM30), for the logical system.

  2. Define RFC destinations (transaction SM59)

Create a new RFC destination with the connection type 3, ABAP Connections. Make the following technical settings:

    Technical settings

    • Target host

    • Message server

    • Save to database as

    Logon and security

    • Logon for client

    • Logon for user

  3. Connect the logical system to the RFC destination (transaction BD97)

  4. Make settings in CRM Middleware for loading the data for products, business partners, invoices, and transactions

    • Products: Before you can upload the product data, you have to enter an RFC destination for the SAP target system.

    • Create sites and subscriptions: In the administration console (transaction SMOEAC), create a site for your ERP system, as well as subscriptions for each of the following publications, and connect these with your site:

      • Product materials

      • All business partners

      • Invoices

      • Business agreements

      • All business partner relationships

      • All business transactions

  5. Define middleware parameters: availability check using SAP APO

Define the classification for accounting using the following parameters:

    • Key: CRMFINACC

    • Parameter 1: CRMFINACC

    • RFC destination: RFC destination of your respective ERP system

    • Control information: Leave this field blank

  6. Activate FI-CA:

    Caution Caution

Once you have activated an application, you cannot deactivate it.

    End of the caution.

You must integrate FI-CA if you want to use it as the application. Choose the application CRMB: CRM Billing and set the indicator for CRM Integration to Contract Account FI-CA. Save your entries and choose Generate.

  7. Define target system for asset handling: If you want to use asset handling, you have to define the target system in the CRM proxy framework.

To do this, enter the following parameters for the RFC destination:

    Parameter

    Back-End Release

    Sequence No.

    REF Destination

    READ_ASSET

    All

    1
