Background documentation Administration of the Web Application Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

If you want to access the Extended Configuration Management (XCM) administration area, you must specify the user and a password.

The default logon data delivered in the standard SAP delivery is:

User

Administrator

Password

No password necessary

Role

isaadmin

ISAADMIN Role

The standard administrator user delivered by SAP has the role isaadmin assigned to it. Without this role users cannot access the XCM areas with the URL /admin/*. All users who should have access to the XCM areas of your applications must have this role assigned to them. You assign the role as follows:

       1.      Log on to the Visual Administrator of the SAP Web AS Java 7.0 server.

       2.      Select a java application, for example, crm~b2b (B2B application), for which the user should be able to access the XCM administration tool.

       3.      Select the Security Roles tab page.

       4.      Assign the user to the isaadmin role.

       5.      Save your settings.

The user can now access the XCM administration of the B2B application.

 

Change Administrator Password

You change the password of the standard delivered administrator user in the administration console of the SAP Web AS Java 7.00 server.

...

       1.      Start the administrator console of the SAP Web AS Java 7.00 server.

       2.      Connect to the SAP Web AS Java 7.00 server.

       3.      Choose the security service of the server.

       4.      Choose the runtime panel.

       5.      Choose the User Management panel.

       6.      Change the password of the administrator.

Caution

Make sure that the pages in the administration area can only be accessed by experts and are not available to end users.

 

Enable Links from the CRM WebClient UI to Web Channel Java Applications

You can create links from the CRM WebClient UI to your java applications. This means that users can log on to SAP CRM and access your java applications via hyperlink directly from the CRM WebClient UI. In the standard SAP delivery the following links to java applications have been built into the E-Commerce Manager role in the CRM WebClient UII:

      Shop Management application

      User Management application

      B2B and B2C Extended Configuration Management (XCM) applications

      Web Crawler Enablement application

Enable Standard Links

You enable the standard links for users, in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, by choosing Web Channel ® Basic Settings ® Activate Links from CRM WebClient UI to Web Channel Web Applications ® Define Protocol, Host Name, Port, and XCM Application Configuration. Carry out the steps according to the documentation for this activity.

Modify Standard Links

To modify the standard delivered customizing and define additional URL links for CRM Web Channel Web applications, you need to carry out the following additional steps in Customizing:

       1.      Define URLs and Parameters.

In Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, choose Web Channel ® Basic Settings ® Activate Links from CRM WebClient UI to Web Channel Web Applications ® Define URLs and Parameters.

       2.      Create a transaction of type URL using the Transaction Launcher wizard. 

In Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, choose UI Framework ® Technical Role Definition ® Configure Transaction Launcher.

       3.      Define logical links in transaction CRMC_UI_WEBAPPL in SAP CRM.

The descriptions entered here will be displayed as links on the CRM WebClient UI. When creating the links you enter in the Parameter field the transaction parameter you defined in the Launch Transaction wizard. For the Parameter Class select the entry CL_CRM_UI_LTX_NAVBAR_PARAM  from the field entry help.

       4.      Define URLs.

In Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, choose Web Channel ® Basic Settings ® Activate Links from CRM WebClient UI to Web Channel Web Applications ® Define URLs.

SAP delivers standard links to the various Web Channel applications. If you need more than one link to an application, for example, you wish to create one link for a search, and one link for create, enter an additional URL parameter for the transaction ID.

Cache Administration

You can use the following URLs to access the administration pages of the SAP E-Commerce Web applications, to reset caches for example:

Business-to-Business SAP E-Commerce:

http://<Web-Server>/b2b/admin/index.jsp

Business-to-Consumer SAP E-Commerce:

http://<Web-Server>/b2c/admin/index.jsp

Note

<Web-Server>: Name of your Web server

Make sure that you protect the URLs mentioned above before you access the Web.
