Procedure documentation Configure Relationship Between Sales Partner and Customer Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You want to use the business process variant Order Processing B2B in ERP E-Commerce, but also make it possible for an external sales partner (for example, agent, reseller) to be active for several customers. This sales partner works in a third company, and acts as an agent between your company as vendor and one or more customers. The sales partner can create orders on behalf of these customers.

As the sales partner is potentially responsible for several customers, the system cannot automatically determine the sold-to party from the user ID of the sales partner like it can in the other B2B business processes. You have to configure a relationship between the user ID of the sales partner and the customers that he or she is responsible for. To do this, you have to create a new partner role for the sales partner (reseller) in Customizing for SAP ERP, and assign it in the customer master of the sold-to party.

Prerequisites

You are using the ‘Business-on-Behalf’ scenario for your Web shop.

You have configured one of the log-on types for B2B in Extended Configuration Management (XCM). You can find further information under User Types in B2B Web Shops.

Procedure

To create a relationship between a sales partner and particular customers, carry out the following steps:

...

       1.      Create a new partner role for the user in SAP ERP in Customizing for Sales with the partner type KU (customer) (for example, partner role ZR –ISA reseller).

                            a.      Assign the partner role to a partner determination procedure.

                            b.      Assign the partner role to an account group.

                            c.      Assign the partner determination procedure to sales document type.

You can find further information about the settings for partner determination in ERP in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Sales under Basic Functions  ® Partner Determination.

       2.      Assign the partners who are allowed to act as sales partners for this customer to the sold-to party under the new role (for example, ZR) in the SAP ERP in the customer master record.

       3.      Enter the above-defined partner role for the sales partner (for example, ZR) in Shop Management for ERP E-Commerce on the tab page Customer in the field Partner Role.

Result

The sales partner can select the customer for whom he or she is currently working on the tab page Customers. The sales partner can also switch the customer on this tab page without leaving the Web shop.
