Business object in SAP CRM, that can display the following options:

• Business interaction with a business partner at a specific time
• Result of an interaction (for example, contract)
• Trigger or request for an interaction (for example, opportunity)
• Preparation, information gathering or accumulation for a possible business interaction (for example, activity)
• Result or object of a (potential) interaction (for example, sales transaction, service order)

The business transaction provides business structures and functionality that can be used in different processes of an enterprise, for example in Sales, Marketing or in Service.
