Settings for ObjectsIn SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM), perform the following Customizing activities:
Define the object family 0311, LAM: Individual Object, by choosing Define Object Families.
Create a category and assign this to the product type 01, Material and to the object family 0311, LAM: Individual Object.
When you create the category, you can refer to the set types used, provided you have saved the corresponding data (such as sales organization, item category group) in the master data of the reference product. You use product maintenance to create and edit the reference product.
Note
You must enter the settings for referencing before you create the first object in the master data. If you have already created an object for the category, you do not need to make these settings.
The following table provides an overview of all the set types to which your object categories must refer:

Create and assign a reference product.
Before you can enter the reference product in the product relationships in the master data of the object, you have to enter the relationship type PROREFS Reference Product for Individual Object in the category. If you cannot select this relationship type, you must activate the product reference in the Customizing activity Allow Product References for Individual Objects by setting the Reference Active indicator.
Before you can assign the reference product to the object, you must also enter the relationship type PROREFS Reference Product for Individual Object in the category for the individual product. If you cannot select this relationship type in the category, or if the Categories assignment block is not displayed in the master data of the product, delete the following entries from the table COMC_PRWB_IL:
OBJECT_TYPE: 01 (Material = IOBJECT)
REL_TYPE: PROREF
DIRECTION: S
PRWB_INACTIVE: X
In leasing documents, you use the object to control the object item. In Customizing for SAP CRM, indicate whether the use of this object is allowed, required, or not allowed, by choosing Define Item Categories, (Usage of Individual Object field). This Customizing activity is relevant only for object-related item categories (such as OBJN). Financing-related item categories (such as LEFP) do not contain any objects.
In the user profile, goto Own Data and choose the Parameters tab page. Enter the parameter COMMPR01_IND_OBJ and the value X. Otherwise the system cannot display the objects in product maintenance.
To create objects on the CRM WebClient UI, choose . If you do not want to use product maintenance on the SAP GUI during the implementation phase, in the user profile under Own Data choose the Parameters tab page and enter the parameter COMMPR01_IND_OBJ and the value X. Otherwise the system cannot display the objects in product maintenance.
Under Object Integration Framework (OITF), make the settings for the life cycle (transitions) of an object. Here you find the Customizing activities for the event type and state manager.
Configure OITF State Manager: The standard system provides the following statuses for objects:
Available
Leased
Dependent on the change process executed:
Disused
Sold
Available Soon
Available for Remarketing
Optional Settings
Define views (objects):
If you require additional views for the object, you can enter these in the Customizing activity Define Views. You assign the new views when you enter the set types.
