Define Seniority Date Preference 

Use

Use this procedure to define the criteria that the system uses to determine seniority. The system can use either the Start Date or the Hire Date. The system can use seniority as a criterion for assigning preferred shift times. Managers enter the hire and start date during employee maintenance when adding an employee to the system for scheduling.

 

Procedure

       1.      You access the activity either through:

¡        The SAP IMG, by choosing the path SAP IMG ® Customer Relationship Management ® Workforce Deployment ® Retail and Interaction Center Workforce Deployment ® Operational Settings ® Define Seniority Date Preference

¡        The SAP Easy Access Menu, by entering the transaction code CRM_WFM_SM.

You see the initial page for the Site Maintenance Tool.

                                                  i.       At Profile Type, display the selections and choose Operational Settings / Parameters.

                                                ii.       At Sub-Type, display the selections and choose Define Seniority Date Preference.

                                               iii.       Choose Search.

                                               iv.       Click Define Seniority Date Preference, the topmost node of the tree, with the secondary mouse button and choose Create.

You see the Create New Parameter dialog box.

                                                 v.       Enter a Profile ID, which is the name of the seniority date preference definition the system displays in the tree view.

                                               vi.       Enter a date defining the first day for which the seniority date preference definition is valid.

                                              vii.       Choose Continue.

       2.      You see the Define seniority date preference table where you complete your seniority date preference definition by entering the following information:

Field	Description	Use / Notes
Sen. Date Pref. ID	The unique identifier for the seniority date preference definition you entered at the Create New Parameter dialog box.
Start Date	Displays the Start Date you entered at the Create New Parameter dialog box.
End Date	An end date.	If no end date is planned for this seniority date preference definition, enter 12/31/9999 to specify an open-ended validity range.
Short Description	A short description of the seniority date preference definition.	The system uses this for any displays or drop down lists.
Choice	The date used to determine employee seniority.	Choose Start Date or Hire Date.
Long Description	A detailed description of the seniority date preference definition.

       3.      Save your entries.
