Importing Historical Data for Forecasting Using RFCs 

Use

You can import historical data to the system through an interface between WFM and your data sources.

 

Activities

At the SAP Easy Access Menu, enter the path SAP Menu ® Architecture and Technology ® ABAP Workbench ® Overview ® Object Navigator. Alternatively, you can enter transaction code SE80. WFM uses:

·        The function group WFA_FORECASTING_FDI

●      The RFC WFA_FORECAST_SAMPLE_SET

You use the external indicator key within the RFC when defining volume indicators using the following path: SAP IMG ® Retail Workforce Management ® Forecasting Settings ® Define Volume Indicators.

Refer to the RFC documentation with the function module. Be sure to convert the data for the demand volume indicators at the appropriate granularity.
