Configuration of Pipeline Performance Management
You can use this documentation to configure the business process Pipeline Performance Management (PPM). It enables you to evaluate and monitor current business development and expected sales volume. It also provides you with an overview of the opportunities that are expected to be closed within a defined timeframe. Once you have completed the configuration steps, you can:
Analyze the sales pipeline
Identify gaps and critical opportunities
Identify and monitor opportunity changes in the pipeline
Simulate what-if scenarios
Trigger actions to resolve issues and meet targets
You have made the Customizing settings in the IMG for Customer Relationship Management, by choosing:
Define and assign analysis stages.
Set the application flag for on-premise SAP CRM.
Activate the PPM-specific services.
Ensure users have access to PPM functions from the entry screen of the application:
Assign the Sales Professional business role to the users.
Create the different authorization profiles you need.
Set up your organizational model:
Maintain the reference currency for the root organization unit.
Create the organizational structure.
Assign your sales professionals to various organizational units.
Set up the Internet Graphics Server (IGS).
