Use

You can use this function to make any necessary changes to the payment schedule or the billing plan of a current lease. For example, if the lessee wants to change the payment form in a lease, the lessor can make these changes at any time up to the end of the lease term. This does not change the contract term or the contract end date, which means that this is not a base lease extension. The system restructures the payment structure in the follow-up lease and displays it from the change date.

You execute the change process at item level, which means that the changes apply to individual contract items. This process supports the entry of split quantities for your leased objects. You can execute this change process manually only by choosing Actions; you cannot execute this change process as an option.

In SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) you use the process RESC to execute a restructuring. The change process REST is created and assigned in the Lease Accounting Engine (LAE, SAP ERP).

 

Prerequisites

You have an active lease with status Released and Lease.

Example

A lessee wants to change the payment form from monthly to quarterly payments.
