Procedure documentationCreating a Web Shop for Business-on-Behalf Locate this document in the navigation structure

As the result of the configuration described in this guide, a business user who clicks the Order-on-behalf item in the work area toolbar of an account is prompted to log on to the E-Commerce Business-to-Business Application and is then presented with a selection list containing the Web shops that are available with that application. This is useless if the selection list is empty, so you need to make sure that there is at least one Web shop.

Note Note

In contrast to the name of the XCM application configuration that you create in Creating an Application Configuration in XCM, the name of the Web shop that you create here is not something that you need to pick up in a later configuration step of this guide, but is something for business users to select at runtime. Therefore, you do not need to make a note of the name of the Web shop that you create.

End of the note.

Prerequisites

You have created a product catalog in your SAP CRM system.

Procedure

To create a Web shop that business users can select in the E-Commerce Business-to-Business Application, perform the following steps in E-Commerce Shop Management in your SAP NW AS Java system:

  1. Log on to E-Commerce Shop Management:

    1. Open the following URL in a Web browser, with the host name of your SAP NW AS Java system in place of <host> and with the port number of the HTTPS port of that system in place of <port>:

      https://<host>:<port>/shopadmin/shopadmin/init.do

    2. Enter the credentials of a user that has write access to E-Commerce Shop Management.

      Note Note

This can be a different user from the one that you use for Extended Configuration Management (XCM).

      End of the note.
  2. On the welcome screen of E-Commerce Shop Management, select Business-on-Behalf from the selection list and click the New Shop pushbutton.

  3. Specify details for the new shop.

In particular, you must do the following:

    • On the Catalog tab page, in the Catalog field, specify the name of the catalog listed among the prerequisites for creating a Web shop.

    • On the Transactions tab page, in the Order section, select the Order Type radio button.

      Note Note

Do not select the Order Type Group radio button.

      End of the note.
  4. Save the new shop.
