Use

Partner functions are required to capture the role of partners within a given business process. Pharma contract and chargeback claims require partner functions such as contract negotiator, hierarchy node partner, call-off partner, end customer and channel partner. You must define these partner functions, access sequences and partner determination procedures in SAP CRM.

In the Implementation Guide (IMG), choose Customer Relationship Management ® Basic Functions ® Partner Processing ® Define Partner Functions.

Contract Negotiator

The negotiator is the contract owner. The owner negotiates the terms and conditions of the contract on behalf of its member.

Contract Call-off Partner

Call-off partners are similar to sold-to party. They are linked to the negotiator in the business partner hierarchy.

End Customer

End customers are similar to ship-to parties. They are related to the call-off via the partner relationships.

Channel Partner

Channel partners are the reseller (for example, wholesaler, distributor). They are maintained using partner relations with respect to the end customer.

Hier. Node Partner

These are dummy business partners, which are attached to the hierarchy nodes. These partners must have the partner category Group. This partner function needs to be maintained for the hierarchy explosion to take place during partner determination.
