Function documentation Editing Installed Bases in the Past (SAP Easy Access)   Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can use this function to create new installed bases, or make changes to existing installed bases on a date that is earlier than the system date.

Changes made to installed bases can often only be entered in the system at a later point in time. These changes can be backdated to the day on which the actual change was made.

The functions for making changes to new and existing installed bases in the past are available on the SAP Easy Access screen.

Prerequisites

To backdate the validity date, make the following settings in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management by choosing Master Data Installed Base Installed Base Category  Activate Partner and Address Inheritance, Change in the Past.

Features

It is possible to choose a validity date and time that lie in the past for new installed bases and for changes made to an existing installed base. However, the validity date must not fall before the last validity date.

       1.      To change an existing installed base on a date in the past, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Master Data Installed Base Change Installed Base. The initial screen appears.

       2.      Enter the installed base number in the Installed Base field.

       3.      Use the Valid-on Date and Valid-on Time fields to select the date and time when the installed base was actually changed. Then choose Enter.

       4.      The details screen for displaying the changes appears.

       5.      Change the existing data or add information and save your entries.
