Use

To enable the continued use of existing SAP ECC sales contracts in conjunction with CRM Sales, it is possible to replicate SAP ERP sales contracts to the CRM system. This enables you to integrate your contracts fully into your CRM processes and to benefit from features such as Opportunity Management, without having to re-create contracts in the CRM system.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

Note that you cannot download CRM contracts to the SAP ECC system.

Integration

CRM sales contracts and SAP ECC sales contracts can also be displayed in Mobile Sales. For more information, see Data Exchange for Sales Contracts: CRM Enterprise – CRM Mobile.

Prerequisites

The relevant IMG settings, such as contract types and item categories, must be identical in both systems. For more information about this, see the SAP Implementation Guide (IMG) for CRM and choose Transactions Settings for Contracts Set Up Replication of Contract from SAP ECC to CRM.

The same customer and product master data must exist in both systems.

The same organizational data must exist in both systems.

The CRM external number range should be the same as the SAP CRM internal number range.

You must have downloaded master data.

Features

Initial and Delta Downloads

You can run an initial download of SAP ECC sales contracts so that all existing contracts are transferred to the CRM system. Afterwards, the system runs delta downloads, in other words, it transfers any new or changed information in the sales contracts to the CRM system as soon as the changes take place.

Transferred Data

When the system replicates the SAP ECC contract, it downloads the basic sales data as well as contract-specific data such as:

Sales Contracts in SAP ECC and SAP CRM

Once the sales contracts have been replicated, they can be displayed in the CRM system across all channels, such as Mobile Sales and Internet Sales.

You can continue to change sales contracts in SAP ECC.

Note that you cannot change the SAP ECC sales contract in the CRM system.

Contract Release Processing

You can release products against contracts in both the SAP ECC and CRM systems:

You can find more information under Data Exchange for Sales Transactions: CRM Enterprise – ERP System.

The system updates the SAP ECC contract with release order details and cumulated quantities every time you release a product against the contract. You can see the updated contract in the CRM system.

Activities

       1.      Run an initial download for the SAP ECC contracts. Do not include expired, cancelled and completed contracts as you are unable to release products against them from either the SAP ECC system or the CRM system.

To filter which contracts should be downloaded to the CRM system, go to the SAP Easy Access Menu and choose Architecture and Technology  Middleware  Data Exchange  Object Management  Business Objects. Select the SALESCONTRACT object and choose Filter Settings.

       2.      Run an initial download of price agreements. (If you use price agreements, you must download the contracts before you download the price agreements.)

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

Note that if you change the price agreements in the SAP ECC contract after the download, the changed price agreement is not transferred to CRM.

       3.      If you have upgraded to a CRM 4.0 system, run the program CRM_CONTRACT_UPDATE_FROM_R3. This ensures that the downloaded contracts are aligned with previously downloaded SAP ECC release orders so that the contract contains the correct cumulated released quantities or values.

       4.      The system now runs delta downloads automatically.

If you do not want delta downloads of sales contracts to take place, follow the menu path in step 1) and indicate this in the filter settings for the SALESCONTRACT and SALESDOCUMENT objects.

       5.      You can display contracts and release orders as described in the Features section above.
