You can use this function to terminate a lease, without return of the leased object, during the lease term.

If the lessee can no longer use the leased object during the lease term – because it was damaged or stolen, for example – it terminates the current lease prematurely. Based on the current contract, you can create a quotation for early termination, which results in a contract without return of the leased object.

You execute the change process at item level, which means the changes apply only to individual contract items. This process supports the entry of split quantities for your leased objects. You can also execute this change process as an option.

Note Note

The early termination process does not involve a renewal. A fee is added to the purchase price.

You execute a termination without return in SAP CRM using the TERM process. Using SAP CRM, you can create the process ECON (Early Termination Without Return) in SAP ERP.

You have a current lease with the status Released.
