You define cancellation rules and assign these to a cancellation procedure in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under  Transactions Settings for Contracts Cancellation . The cancellation procedure can be specific to one canceling party (such as the lessor). You can use the cancellation rules to define notice periods, valid-from and valid-to dates, time intervals (such as monthly), and the number of possible cancellation dates calculated.
