Fixation Group 

Use

Within pricing, the fixation group determines which condition types should not be recalculated in a specific quotation or lease item and a business process cycle.

You can use the fixation type to define for each condition type:

●      Whether or not the condition amount should remain fixed and/or

●      Whether or not to redefine payment sequence accesses

At the present time, only the fixation of the condition amount and the suppression of new payment sequence accesses is supported in fixation type “ “ – Fix Condition Record and Payment Sequence (Space).

Various business documents with different statuses are generated in a financing/leasing transaction process cycle (for more information, see Leasing Document). The SAP system determines and valuates the various conditions in a quotation phase during pricing. When the quotation is accepted, some of these condition values have to be copied to the contract unchanged, and these values remain unchanged. Other conditions have to be recalculated. The Customizing settings for the fixation group are read and valuated during pricing. In this process, conditions that belong to the found fixation group are fixed – that is, the original condition amount remains unchanged and is not recalculated. If you fix a condition type, this affects the following areas:

●      Manual changes to condition amounts in the condition overview screen are not copied for the item

●      Changes to condition amounts in user exits (overwriteConditionBase, overwriteConditionValue) are ignored

●      Changes to condition amounts in external data sources are ignored

●      Changes to condition amounts made in the CAI tool do not affect fixed condition types

●      Changes to the payment sequence base do not affect the condition amounts of fixed conditions

At the present time, there is no information or indicator in the financing contract or lease that indicates that a condition type is fixed.

Depending on the Customizing settings, the determination of the fixation group depends on either

●      The system status in the document

●      The pricing process

If a fixation group is found for a specific system status, the system does not determine a fixation group that depends on the pricing process.

Prerequisites

You have created fixation groups in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, by choosing Financial Services → Leasing → Pricing → Edit Fixation Groups.
