To be able to use listings, for example, in sales transactions, you have to create and edit them.

You have made all the necessary settings in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under   Master Data   Listing   Settings for Listings  .

You use the listing maintenance user interface to:

· Find, create, copy, and change listings

· Edit listed products

· Edit listing item attributes

Before you can search for or edit listings, you must first select a maintenance group. The maintenance group determines which search criteria you can use and which data you can create for a listing.

Finding a Listing

You can combine up to three of the following search criteria to find a listing:

  • Listing ID

  • Valid on date

  • Depending on the maintenance group you selected, additional data such as condition type, sold-to party, or distribution channel

Creating a Listing
  1. You choose a condition type and, if required, a condition table.

  2. Enter the header following data:

    • General data

This includes the listing ID and listing description (in the logon language) as well as additional data, depending on the condition type chosen, such as account, sales organization, or distribution channel.

      Note Note

Depending on the Customizing settings for the PPR type, the listing ID may be assigned by the system.

      End of the note.
    • Validity period

  3. Enter items in the assignment blocks. To do this, you have the following options:

    • You select individual items or several items at once.

You can also search for products using product IDs, such as vehicle identification number.

    • You choose an assortment.

All items with the appropriate product reference type (for example, product catalog) are then copied from this assortment to your newly created listing. You can delete any items you do not require.

      Note Note

Depending on the Customizing entries for the chosen PPR type of the listing, different product reference types can be used as listing items. Each PPR type for listings is linked with one condition table. Therefore, if you select a condition table (or a condition type) when you create a listing, you indirectly assign a PPR type to the listing.

      End of the note.

      Example Example

The product reference types Product and Product Category are assigned to PPR type 0L03. You can assign products and product categories as items to listings with this PPR type, but no product catalogs, for example.

      End of the example.
    • If required, you create your own validity periods for the listing items. These must be within the validity period of the listing header.

      Example Example

You create a listing for the account SMITH that is valid from 01.01.2007 until 31.12.2007. For this listing, you create an item EASTER BUNNY with a validity period from 1.01.2007 until 15.03.2007 and an item MULLED WINE with a validity period from 01.10.2007 until 20.12.2007.

      End of the example.

You can use the function Remove Validity Period to assign listing items with their own validity period the (greater) validity period of the listing header.

    • Using View Attributes, you can enter data (field values) for the additional attributes (fields) of the listing items, if required.

      Note Note

Additional attributes are only available for a listing item if you have assigned a set type to the corresponding product reference type in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under   Master Data   Listing   Settings for Listings   Partner/Product Range Settings for Listing Items and Assortments   Define Partner/Product Range Types for Listings and Assortments  .

      End of the note.
    • After creating the listing, you can check that the data is consistent (Check Listing). If messages were issued during editing, these are now displayed.

Copying a Listing

Instead of creating a new listing, you can also copy an existing listing as a template. This saves time if you want to use identical or similar listings for different customers. To copy a listing, choose Copy from the overview page of the listing you want to copy and enter an ID and a description for the new listing. You can then adjust the listing data as required.
