Flexible
UI Framework
The flexible UI framework enables the navigation through repositories to be represented in many different ways on the user interface. Users accessing items in a repository use a browse iView. The iView can be rendered in different ways depending on:
· The role of the user
· The resources and folders that are displayed
· The commands that are available for displayed items
The flexibility to present the browse iViews in different ways is enabled by the renderer and layout service packages. They make it possible to adapt the appearance, behavior and complexity of screen areas to suit different individuals. For example, an administrator can be presented with a complex browse iView that provides metadata about resources and mass actions. A casual user can be presented with a simple iView that has an attractive appearance, a few essential commands and an easy intuitive form of navigation.
