Configuration of Web Auctions: Selling via
eBay® in CRM
You use this
documentation to configure the
selling via eBay®
(SVE) application, based on the default configuration provided by SAP. This is
to enable connectivity between the back-end SAP CRM system, SVE application,
and eBay®. You need to carry out configuration steps in Extended Configuration
Management (XCM), in the SVE application, and in the SAP CRM
system.
You have installed SAP Web Application Server 6.40 (J2EE).
If you want to use the business-to-consumer (B2C) checkout, you have installed SAP CRM Web Channel B2C.
If you want a faster search when searching product catalogs, you have installed Search and Classification (TREX) 6.0 SP01.
For the installation guides, see SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/crm-inst.
...
1. Configure the SAP CRM system to enable back-end processing.
See Configuring Back-End Processing.
2. Create an application configuration and configure the SVE application in XCM at:
http://<servername:port>/sve/admin/xcm/init.do
Access XCM using your J2EE Engine user ID and password. Choose XCM Administration ® Help and follow the configuration steps. The parameters not set as default by the system are highlighted; you must provide values for these parameters. If necessary, you can change the default entries.

Be sure to
provide values for the parameter SVEUSERDATA. Enter the profiles ADMINPROFILE
and SELLERPROFILE, which you created as user profiles in your
back-end SAP CRM system. These profiles determine the authorization check when
users log on to the SVE
application. If you do not provide values for this parameter, the
system does not carry out an authorization check at logon. For information
about creating profiles, see
User
Mapping.
3. Make sure the appropriate roles are assigned to auction administrators and auction sellers.
See Assigning Roles for Selling via eBay®.
5. Check that a product catalog and product catalog variant are assigned.
6. Create Comma Separated Values (CSV) files for products and bank transaction processing. See:
○ Creating a CSV File to Import Products
○ Configuring Bank Transaction Processing
7. Configure Java Virtual Machine (JVM) HTTP proxy settings.
