Continuation 

Use

You can use this function to automatically continue a lessee’s lease at the end of the contract, with the same lease conditions. If the lessee cannot decide whether she wants to return or purchase the leased object, the lessor can continue the lease starting with the end-of-lease date. In this case, the lessee continues to pay her monthly installments until she choose an option (termination, purchase, renewal) at the end of the contract.

The change process takes place at item level, which means the changes only apply to individual lease items in this case. The process can only be exercised for the full quantity of your leased objects. You can only exercise this change process as an option.

This change process is defined in Customizing under the technical name CONT.

Prerequisites

·        A lease is expiring or has status EOL Processing.

·        You have not received any information from the lessee as to which option she wants to use to end the lease.
