Define Weekend Days 

Use

The system performs special handling on weekend days and certain work rules apply only on weekend days. Use this procedure to define weekend days. The system uses the definitions you enter here as input into the work rules used to create schedules.

 

Procedure

       1.      You access the activity either through

¡        The SAP IMG, by choosing the path SAP IMG ® Customer Relationship Management ® Workforce Deployment ® Retail and Interaction Center Workforce Deployment ® Operational Settings ® Define Weekend Days

¡        The SAP Easy Access menu, by entering the transaction code CRM_WFM_SM.

You see the initial page for the site maintenance tool.

                                                  i.       At Profile Type, display the selections and choose Operational Settings / Parameters.

                                                ii.       At Sub-Type, display the selections and choose Weekend Days.

                                               iii.       Choose Search.

                                               iv.       Click Weekend Days, the topmost node of the tree, with the secondary mouse button and choose Create.

You see the Create New Parameter dialog box.

                                                 v.       Enter a Profile ID, which is the name of the weekend days definition the system displays in the tree view.

                                               vi.       Enter a date defining the first day for which the weekend days definition is valid.

                                              vii.       Choose Continue.

       2.      You see the Define weekend days table where you complete your weekend days definition by entering the following information:

Field name	Description	Use / Notes
Weekend Days ID	The unique identifier for the week end days definition you entered at the Create New Parameter dialog box.
Start Date	Displays the Start Date you entered at the Create New Parameter dialog box.	The system considers the weekend days definition valid for the range defined by the start and end dates. The date entries must not overlap with other entries for the same location profile.
End Date	The effective end date.	12/31/9999 specifies an open-ended validity range.
Short Description	A brief description of the weekend days definition.	The system uses this for any displays or drop down lists.
Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday	Choose the days you want to define as weekend days. When checked, the system considers the day to be a weekend day. When blank, the system considers the day to be a weekday.	You can choose as many days as necessary. The days you choose do not need to be consecutive. The days you choose do not need to be in any particular order.
Long Description	A detailed description of the weekend days definition.

       3.      Save your entries.
