Background documentation XI Tracks Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

You use an XI track (Exchange Infrastructure track) to transport design objects from various Integration Repositories or configuration objects from various Integration Directories.

The following development states exist for the development of XI objects:

·        Development

·        Consolidation

·        Production

An Integration Repository or an Integration Directory exists for each of these states; each repository or directory runs on a separate J2EE instance.
