Triggering a DC Build 

Procedure

Start the CBS Web UI.

       1.      Start the CBS Web UI.

       2.      Select the Development Component Details View.

       3.      Select the Build the DC tab strip.

This tab strip allows users to trigger a re-build of the development component. The tab strip is only shown if the DC resides in a compartment that supports activation and if the user has developer permissions.

       4.      Select the build variants that should be built.

       5.      Press the “Initiate the build” button to trigger the build.

Note that the build is not executed immediately. Instead the CBS creates a request and puts it into its request queue. The request is executed later by the CBS. The Web UI displays the request ID of the request that was created. By clicking on the request ID you can navigate to the Requests view and view more details.

The tab strips Used DCs, Using DCs and Using DCs by Public Part show the DC dependencies CBS has stored in its database.
