Managing the log-configuration.xml Source 

You can use the Source tab to write your log-configuration.xml file manually. For more information about the syntax of this file, see log-configuration.dtd.

The changes made to this tab immediately affect the contents of the Log Controller, Log Destination, and Log Formatter tabs used for configuration. The inverse option is also available – all configurations that you make in the GUI section immediately affect the contents of the Source tab.

Another option is to paste an already configured (or manually written) log-configuration.xml file and then to use the GUI options provided by the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio to reconfigure it.
