Creating a Portal Application Standalone Development Component 

Use

You create a new portal application standalone development component (DC).

Prerequisites

●      You have configured the DTR.

●      You are in Development Configurations perspective.

●      You work in the LocalDCs view.

Procedure

...

       1.      To create a new DC, open the context menu of your software component (SC) and select Create New DC…

The New Development Component project dialog appears.

       2.      Specify  the project data.

Type	Portal Application Standalone (Packed in SDA)

Do not select the Local Development Component indicator. Thus, you add the DC immediately to the DTR and activate its usage for other developers.

       3.      Choose Next.

A dialog window DTR Activity appears.

       4.      Create a new activity, if required, by choosing New Activity and specifying the necessary information.

       5.      Choose OK and then Next.

       6.      On the New Enterprise Portal Project DC dialog, select the Create an empty project radio button.

       7.      Under archive name: specify, for example, com.widgets.marty.mytester.par and choose Finish.

A dialog Add Files to DTR appears.

       8.      Select the files to add to the DTR and choose OK.

The Select Activity dialog appears.

       9.      Select the activity and choose OK.

Result

You have created a new portal application standalone DC.
