Here the runtime system DEV is used for direct deployment from the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio and for central deployments.

In this scenario, each development component (DC) must be developed by only one developer so it is not overwritten in the central runtime system DEV. This configuration should be used only by small teams because the sequence of direct and central deployment has to be synchronized in the team.

Again you may not need the productive system (PROD).
