You can determine which content blocks should be displayed on the home page and on the work center pages. You can define specific characteristics for the displayed content blocks, determine their position on the page, and change their titles.

Integration

Each SAP business role has its own report page, which the user can launch in the navigation bar. The configuration of reports depends on the SAP business role that you select. Report pages are configured in the same way as the home page and work centers in an SAP business role.

Features

Each SAP business role has one home page, which is automatically launched when the user logs on. The number of work centers depends on the respective business role. This also applies to the appearance and content of the individual work centers. This means that the configuration of the home page and work center pages depends on the respective business role.

Activities

Select the required application component and then expand the Views node under Browser Component Structure. Choose the required view and click Configuration. In the configuration selection, choose the required configuration.

At the top of the home page and the work center page you see the available content blocks. The Left Visible Column and Right Visible Column are displayed underneath for both pages.

Displaying Content Blocks

If a content block should be displayed on the home page or on the work center page, select it from the list of available content blocks and move it to the appropriate column of visible content blocks, using the Down Arrow key.

If you want to remove a content block from the home page or work center page, select it in the left or right column of visible content blocks and move it to the list of available content blocks, using the Up Arrow key.

Defining and Positioning Content Blocks

If you want to move a content block from one column of visible content blocks to the other, use the arrow keys between the two columns.

If you want to move a content block up or down within a column, use Up and Down at the top of the column of visible content blocks.

If a content block in the left column should occupy the entire width of the page, including the right column, select Whole Width.

If the user should be able to personalize the content block, select Personalizable.

Note Note

In the dropdown box in the Pictogram ID column, you can choose the pictogram that the user should see with each visible content block on the home page.

End of the note.
Changing Content Block Titles

You can change the titles of the content blocks in the Left Visible Column or Right Visible Column. Click the Display <-> Change icon and enter the required title in the Title column. Save your entries.

Showing Technical Details

You can show the View ID for the available content blocks and visible content blocks. In the case of visible content blocks, you can see whether each one is AJAX enabled.

You can use Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) to define that an HTTP request is performed within the HTML page without having to reload the entire page.
