Product Configuration in the Sales Transaction
You can configure configurable products in the sales transaction. The configuration from a quotation can be copied to a sales order.
If you use a configurable product in the sales order, the data for the product is displayed in the Configuration assignment block in the item details. If you switch to edit mode, you can configure the product.
The configuration of the product is executed using the Configuration Engine. The interface for this is called from the sales transaction. If the Configuration Engine is not available, the product cannot be configured.
Note
You use master data for the product configuration that you either download from SAP ECC or model and edit directly in SAP CRM. For more information on product modeling in SAP CRM, see Modeling Configurable Products.
This function is available to you in CRM Enterprise, CRM Mobile and in the Interaction Center WinClient.
