Process documentation Data Exchange for Quotations: CRM Enterprise – ERP System Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

You can transfer quotations that have been created in SAP CRM to the ERP system, and create follow-up documents there. If a quotation has been transferred to the ERP system, you can only create follow-up documents for it there and no longer in SAP CRM. You can create follow-on orders in SAP CRM for quotations that were created in the ERP system and replicated to SAP CRM.

You can transfer quotations for sales orders and for sales contracts.

Note

You cannot transfer quotations that have been converted to orders by changes to status. In particular, this means that quotations that have been created in Internet Sales cannot be transferred to the ERP system.

You can create and change quotations in SAP CRM and the ERP system.

Prerequisites

·        The prerequisites for sales transactions apply; see Data Exchange for Sales Transactions: CRM Enterprise – ERP System

·        You have to make the following changes to system settings in order to make the transfer of quotations active:

¡        Entries in the system table SMOFPARSFA:

PARSFAKEY = R3A_SALES

PARNAME = QUOTATION_UPLOAD_ACTIVE

PARNAME2 = Transaction type

PARVAL1 = X

¡        Change in status management:

You have set the Permitted flag for the business transaction “To be distributed” in the transaction control for system status for quotations.

Caution

If you have realized the transfer of quotations from SAP CRM to the ERP system using a modification solution (see SAP Note 455678), and if you wish to use the standard solution available as of CRM 4.0 Support Package 02, you should not adopt the modification when upgrading to CRM 4.0 Support Package 02.

Process Flow

...

       1.      Save a quotation in SAP CRM without errors that has the status “Released”.

       2.      The system transfers the quotation including the validity dates to the ERP system.

       3.      You create a sales order with reference to the quotation in the ERP system.

Note

In the ERP system, only completion rule A (single reference) is supported.

       4.      The system transfers the sales order created in the ERP system to SAP CRM. The system links the order with the quotation created there.

       5.      The system updates the document flow for the quotation in SAP CRM.

       6.      Quotation items are assigned the status “Quotation accepted” and “Completed” in SAP CRM.
