Transporting Meta-Data 

Use

You can transport the following repository objects:

·        Replication objects

·        Publications

·        Interlinkages

Generated data is not transported. Instead, it is re-generated locally on the target CRM server.

Procedure

To transport repository objects, select Architecture and Technology ® Middleware ® Development ®Meta Object Modeling ® Transport Meta-Data.

Then proceed as follows:

...

       1.      Choose an object.

       2.      Execute the program.

A transportable change request is created for your object type automatically.

Some repository objects require an after-import method to be executed in the target system. It carries out additional activities during the import of the repository object. An after-import method is a function module assigned to the corresponding transport object.

After-import methods prepare the generation of R/3 runtime objects in the target system.
